Coverage Guide:

• Flat Roofs: (Length × Width) ÷ 3

• Apex Roofs: ((Length × Width) × 1.3) ÷ 3

Installation Advice:

• Shingles come with a self-bonding bitumen strip, activated by solar heat.

• For colder weather installations or exposed locations, we recommend using shingle glue, especially:

  • On ridge tiles

  • On the first leading-edge row

  • On every tile when used on roof gradients under 10°

Membrane & Underlay Options:

IKO now recommends using IKO Glass Fibre Underlay 20m (Type 3B) as an additional protective membrane. While not essential for leisure buildings, underlay provides extra reassurance if shingles lift over time.

If you’re adding a membrane layer, consider standard roofing felt as an alternative.
